Castle Discovery - Playground Systems

Photograph Above: You can see the community playground in use in Brandon ,West Kerry. We installed this playground in June 2006. It was designed in conjunction with Kerry County Council's Play Assessment Committee, was overseen by local Authority Engineers and independently assessed and certified by ROSPA, prior to opening in August 2006.

The playground is surfaced with Safety Tiles conforming to EN1177. The green tiled area defines the Junior Play Area ages 3 - 5. The red tiled area defines the Senior Play Area 6- 12. Blue Tiles mark Activity and Landing areas.

The Brandon Playground contains the following equipment:
2 x Spring Activities (Horse & Motorbike)
1 x Junior Tower with slide & steps (platform height 1.0m.)
1 x 3 Seater bench (for supervision by guardians / parents)
1 x Low level Activity unit (OXO) (to cater for special needs children)
1 x Giant Tower with slide & ladder (platform height 1.4m.)
1 x Overhead Bar Set (Monkey bars)
1 x Activity Beam with gym rings & climbing rope.
1 x Large Double Swing (with 2 x cradle type baby swing seats)

Quality: All Castle Discovery Commercial Play Equipment is made to EN1176. In order to maximize strength and virtually eliminate splitting of the wood, 140mm x 140mm Laminated Timber Beams are used. All Timber components are made from slow grown "Norwegian Spruce" sourced from managed forests in Finland. Every Timber component is pressure treated, primed, coated and sealed.
