Eco-Scape Safety Surface

We recommend Eco-Scape Safety Surface for all Elite activity play systems as increasing the depth of the Eco-Scape mulch from 100mm (4") to 150mm(6") will increase the critical fall height (safety impact absorption) from 3m(10ft) to 4m (13ft) when placed on grass/soil.
A 4m(13ft) critical fall height is very difficult to achieve with any other appropriate safety system. Several colours are available: Green, Redwood, Earthtone (Brown), Ivory.

Eco-scape is made from the purest recycled rubber.
Lorry or cars tyres are not used as a source of rubber for Eco-Scape as they cannot be guaranteed to be 100% free of metal or glass

Eco-Scape is used for play areas in Schools, Creches, Restaurants, Pubs & Domestic Gardens, where high critical fall height protection is required.
It complies with European standard EN 1177 commercial specification:
Impact Absorption Playground Surfaces - Safety Requirements and Test methods: 1998 and ASTM F1292-99

Advantages of Eco-Scape.
It looks like wood chip but has none of the problems associated with wood chip
It will not blow away (unlike wood chips)
It has a higher impact absorbtion rating than wood chip
It does not have sharp edges or hard pieces that can sometimes be found in wood chip
It will last for 20 years plus (wood chip needs to be replaced every year)
Insects will not live in it (unlike wood chip) as they cannot get nutritional benefit from it. It is totally harmless to humans and wild life.
It is clean, It will not mark or stain clothing.

Eco-Scape requires little site preparation. Level or gently sloping sites will achieve the best results. A perimeter is required to maintain a constant depth. A fabric membrane ensures that soil / mud does not work it's way into the eco-scape. Whatever Safety Surface you choose, it is very important that your proposed site for the 'play area' has good drainage and does not flood or waterlog.
